Caversham Health Secures Place on NHS Supply Chain Framework

Caversham Health is proud to announce its appointment to the NHS Supply Chain Framework – a major milestone that allows healthcare trusts across England and Wales to procure our pressure care products directly. This achievement reinforces our mission to enhance patient comfort and care across the UK.

The NHS Supply Chain – operated by Supply Chain Coordination Limited (SCCL) – sources over 4.5 million products for the NHS. Gaining a place on its framework involves a rigorous assessment process, testing organisations on product safety, quality systems, ethical trading, environmental sustainability, and delivery of measurable social value.

Lucy Plunkett, Co-founder and Operations Director, commented:

“This success is a testament to our team, our trusted partners, and advisors. It reflects Caversham Health’s commitment to doing things the right way – combining clinical quality with responsible practices and innovation.”

Our successful bid highlights four pillars of commitment:

  • Quality & Safety – underpinned by ISO accreditation, robust supplier oversight, and continuous improvement in product standards.

  • Sustainability – with a published Carbon Reduction Plan and baseline Emissions Report, setting targets to cut emissions intensity by 50% by 2030, in line with NHS Net Zero goals.

  • Ethical Practices – a Modern Slavery Policy that enforces supply chain transparency, contractual safeguards, and measurable KPIs on supplier compliance.

  • Social Value – embedding NHS England’s Social Value Model through commitments on tackling inequality, supporting well-being, and contributing positively to patients, communities, and the NHS workforce.

This framework award represents not only recognition of what Caversham Health has achieved so far, but also a foundation for continued growth and collaboration with the NHS – driving innovation, ethical practice, and positive impact at scale.
